Fernando Lodeiro...

...was born in Caracas, Venezuela. As a young child, Fernando always wanted to play the guitar. Being the only musician of the family, it wasn’t until the age of 14 that he finally got the guitar he longed for. Fernando was self-taught, and began playing in bars around the city with musicians at least twice his age by the time he was 15. After graduating high school at the age of 16, Fernando moved to Mexico City to study in the Academia de Música Fermatta.

It was the first time that Fernando studied guitar and music formally. After a couple of semesters, he auditioned for Berklee College of Music and got a scholarship to attend. Along with the scholarship, Fernando received a full scholarship from SACM, and funding from a private organization that permitted him to attend Berklee, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Music Production and Engineering in August of 2007.

At the end of October 2007, Fernando moved to New York City and a couple of weeks after he started working at Avatar Studios, which is catalogued as one of the best 10 recording studios in the world. Since then, Fernando has worked with artists like Tony Levin, Mike Stern, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, Shrek The Musical, Sean Jones, Greg Skaff Trio and many others. After Berklee, Fernando has also developed his career as a session player. Currently, Fernando works as an assistant at Avatar Studios, and as a freelance engineer for Project K-Paz and others, producer and guitarist.
